When I moved here from Chicago 14 years ago I had no family and no friends. Mark was one of the 1st people that I had met. I remember him making me laugh, and making me feel like I did have a family here in NM. The camping/hunting trips we take every year in Nov will never be the same. There was one year when it actually had snowed something like 10 in and it was freezing, well we camped in Garys parents old bar/dance hall. well the building was pretty old and all we had was a fireplace in the middle of the bar that really didnt put out much heat. We are all getting our sleeping bags around the fire, some of us had tons of blankets as well as sleeping bags. Well here comes Mark with is scooby doo blanket/sleeping bad that he had taken from one of his kids, it was only big enough for like one of his legs. The camping trip will never be the same with out you Mark. I can still see your smiling face everyday....

I've only had the privilege of knowing Mark over the past six years, but I will get to treasure a lifetime of memories. I'll share a couple of the most memorable ones with you (I'm sure you'll appreciate the first one). One night we were all kickin it in the fab (bay328 to be exact) when I walked up on the group whom was already joking and laughing. Well, Mark asked if I knew what the "father nelson" was. Me as ignorant as I am let him show me, and long story short... I wished I'd taken PA that night. The next memory really shows what a great guy he was. One morning after work, My truck had broken down (purchased the tainted gas). Mark went out of his way to help me by giving me a ride to the parts store, and then make sure that my truck was running again. I sure am going to miss you brother.

I met Mark at Intel while working with brother Elias, who introduced us. Didn't really get to know Mark better until I worked with him in Litho. We also started playing guitar on break. Mark, Jim, Greg and I would make a pretty good "noise"!! He was always so eager to learn new songs. We almost got him to actually sing one. He was pretty timid to try singing. Great times!! I'll miss him. Pauline, you and I would pass and greet just about every morning in the hall from the ROC, and I never knew who you were. I wish I had known you were Mark's mate. Elias and Pauline, prayers to you and your family. Mike.
